Just finished "Pachinko." Now reading "War on Peace" by Woody and Mia's son Ronan Farrow at the request of a friend who wanted my opinion (more interesting than I expected since it turns out I knew some of the main actors). In a few days I'll get back to a book about a place where I lived for three years, "South Korea at the Crossroads" Autonomy and Alliance in an era of Rival Powers, by Scott Snyder, "Preventative Engagement", how America can Avoid War, Stay Strong and Keep the Peace, by Paul Stares, a British colleague of mine for whom I'll probably write a short review, and "Magnificent Delusions", an Epic History of Misunderstandings, by former Pakistani Ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani. "Tiger Woods" by Jeff Benedict is also on my list as soon as I can lay my hands on a copy.
